Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29/03/71) is a South African television, radio and war correspondent. She was a CBS News reporter from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes' executive producers Jeff Fager and Lara Logan called her factually inaccurate and politcally biased report on the 2012 Benghazi attacks "the most glaring error of my entire decade of watching." In 2019, she joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media firm. In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service owned by Fox News. She claimed that she was "dumped" by Fox Nation in March 2022. Logan worked as a journalist for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989) which was followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). She joined Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as an executive producer. After four years she decided to branch out into freelance journalism and was appointed as an editor/reporter, reporter and editor/producer for Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY and CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC and the European Broadcasting Union. CNN was her base, and she reported on events such as the 1998 United States embassy bombings, in Nairobi and Tanzania. Also, the ongoing conflict between Northern Ireland and Kosovo.
